Message from the Steering Committee Chair

چکیده
Since the beginning of the series of workshops on the Future Trends on Distributed Computing Systems (FTDCS) in 1988, these workshops always provide a forum for broad international participation to discuss the latest results and future trends of distributed computing systems. They have always been held in interesting and stimulating locations, and this time is no exception. This is the ninth workshop in the series and the first time it has been held in the Western Hemisphere. Thanks to the workshop chair, Herman Acuna, who hosts this workshop at the University of Puerto Rico, coinciding with their centennial celebration.
